- Jesus summoned his twelve disciples, and gave them the power to cast out demons and cure every disease and sickness. The twelves apostles are Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew, James, Thaddaeus, Simon, and Judas.
