How To Set Up A Tent

- Plan your trip! Make sure before you leave check the contents of your tent bag to ensure you have all of the pieces and tools you need to set up the tent!
- Step 1 - Layout and Positioning
- Items in the tent bag!Item 1 - Tent Bag , Item 2 - Tent Structure, Item 3- Pole Bag, Item 4 - Main Body Poles (x2), Item 5 - Awning Pole (x1), Item 6 - Vent Pole (x1), Item 7 - Stake Bag, Item 8 - Stakes (x8), Item 9 - RainflyRecommended - A tarp the size of your tent base (or slightly bigger) and a hammer.
- Step 1 - Layout and Positioning (Cont.)
- Inspect the surroundings where you will set up your tent. Tent location – look up, look down and all around! Overhanging tree branches, level ground and animal droppings. Consider where the sun will hit your tent during the day as this will add heat to your Consider the time of day! Are you losing sunlight soon? Have your flashlight or lantern ready!
- Step 2 - Connect Poles to Tent
- 1) Position and layout your tarp if you have one in the desired location of your tent. 2) Position and layout the tent (item 2) with the door of the tent facing desired direction on top of the tarp.*Note– Keep the door of the tent zipped up for proper tension while setting up.
- 3) Use stakes (item 8) to stake down the tent corners through the stake rings(keeping the base of the tent taught), one stake per corner (total 4).4) Assemble main body poles (item 4) by unfolding and interlocking the shock-corded pole sections. 5) Insert the main body poles (item 4) into the pole sleeves.
- 1) Insert one pin into one end of the main body pole.2) Go to opposite end of the pole and carefully insert the pin into the end of the same main body pole.3) Repeat step 2 for the second main body pole.

- Assemble the vent pole (item 6) by unfolding and interlocking the shock corded pole section. Insert the tips of the vent pole (item 6) into the pockets on the underside of the rainfly (item 9).Assemble the Awning pole (item 5) by unfolding and interlocking the shock corded pole section. Insert awning pole (item 5) into pole sleeve located on underside of rainfly.
- Drape rainfly (item 9) over top of tent. Insert tips of the awning pole (item 5) into the grommets. Connect the elastic loops with “S” hooks, (already attached to the rainfly) to the rings found at the tent structure (item 2) corners. Secure the rainfly with the straps found on the underside of the rainfly. Use stake to stake down each corner of the rainfly at the corner of the tent structure base using the guyline.
- Remove rainfly “S” hooks, stakes (item 8) and rainfly (item 9). Remove awning (item 5) and vent poles (item 6). Remove main body poles (item 4) from pins and sleeves (x 2). Collapse all poles, fold, and put back in pole bag (item 3). Remove stakes (item 8) from tent structure (item 2) and place in stake bag (item 7). Spread rainfly on the base of the tent and unzip the door of the tent before taking it down. Neatly fold the tent to the width of the pole storage bag, roll tightly and place in tent bag (item 1). Store in a clean, dry area.
