- HI! I'm Robert Hooke! I was born in 1635, England, and I died in 1703! My contribution to the cell theory was that I was observing a piece of cork through a microscope, I saw little boxlike cavities and I described them as cells, thus helping to come up with the word for cells!
- I'm Robert Brown! I was born in in 1773 in Scotland and I died in 1858. My contribution to the cell theory was that I discovered the nucleus of the cell which helped put together the cell theory which states that all cells come from preexisting cells. My discovery helped prove this.
- Hi! I'm Matthias Schleiden. I was born in 1804, Germany, and died in 1881. I contributed to the cell theory by discovering that the cell was the basic unit for plant structure!
