Good morning, yes, there is. I have been trying to grasp the concept of users, profiles and permission sets in Salesforce, but I find it quite intricate and confusing.
Exactly. Some people can open the object but can’t see the records they need. Others can see the records but can’t edit a specific field. And we have one-off access requests every week.

That’s the classic Roles vs Profiles vs Permission Sets situation. Let’s separate record access from feature/object access, and then handle exceptions cleanly—no more, no less.
