  • You didn't give him time enough to take any paper he wanted. I saw you. It wasn't fair!
  • It's a bright and sunny day. The children are gathering stones and the lottery is about to begin.
  • Falling Action
  • After meeting Mr. Summers, the lottery begins and names are starting to be called.
  • Resolution
  • It isn't fair! It isn't right!
  • After all of the names are called, the winning family is revealed to be the Hutchinson family. However, Mrs. Hutchinson complains and says that the lottery wasn't conducted fairly.
