How the Solar System was Formed By Abby O
A cloud of dust and gas called Nebula collapsed due to gravity.
Gravity pulls the cloud inwards to form a Solar Nebula. The cloud becomes hot at the center, due to all of the spinning.
The clumps will form planetestimals. These planetesimals assume their orbits and gather surrounding debris in a process called sweeping
During all of this planet evolution, the proto-star in continuing to contract, as an object of mass is compressed; it generates heat as a result of the compression. Eventually the proto-sun will "ignite" to form a star
