because of the minister wearing the veil frightened the people around the community, causing the minister to be alone often and stay walking around the town alone and gives a somewhat eerie vibe.
Scene 4- supernatural elements
even thought this isn't the ideal type of torture when one of the ministers people from within his circle tries to take his veil off as he is on his death bed he yells and uses all of his strength to keep it on due to his vow to deal with his secret sin and internal punishment and torture.
Scene 5- dark and vivid language
this scene includes the minister giving his speech and seeing his own reflection which startles him and proceeds to run off in front of everyone.
during this scene it is very supernatural like when at the young maidens funeral, two older women claim to have seen the ghost of the maiden and the veiled minister holding hands.
as the ministers fiancé begs the minister to tell her the reasoning for wearing the veil he begins to get worked up talking of the horrible sin and goes into a sort of dark detail that he will veil forever, even to his death bed.
