We were on our way. I could barely sit in my seat without screaming. Me and my friends were taking a trip to the amazing San Francisco. I know it sounds like something that I should be ecstatic about but I was most definitely not. My best friend had invited me and a couple others to go with her and I couldn't say no.
We stopped at a old run down restaurant and ran in. I couldn't even eat because I was so nervous. My best friend Cammy asked "Did you not want to come?" I was startled. "What?" "I said are u second guessing coming... you know because of the bridge?" she whispered. "No I'm fine lets just go" I snapped back
We pulled slowly into the hotel parking lot, got out and took our stuff up to the shabby two bed, old, smelly room. Cammy decided it wasn't to late to go to the bridge and take a walk so we got back in the small car and drove off.
I could see the bridge just in the distance. We parked and walked over to it. Everyone except me of course. I was still sitting in the car. Cammy walked over and looked at my shaking, sweaty face and said "You don't have to do this you know." I suddenly felt a burst of confidence "Nope I'm doing it" and with that I walked over to the bridge and took a step.
I actually loved it. The wind in my face, the salty smell of the ocean. I had finally come over my fear. It was the most amazing feeling ever. I felt like I could do anything. Cammy came to stand next to me and said 'I knew you could do it" Now I take a walk on a bridge every chance I get just to have that feeling.
