  • The matter in the ice cube turned into a liquid because environment it was placed/ it wasn't cold enough.
  • Dry ice first starts off as a normal looking ice cube. It goes from a solid to a gas through a process called sublimation and it would be endothermic.
  • Particles in the solid would move less than the liquid particles.
  • In an endothermic reaction heat is absorbed. Endothermic also means increasing energy so Kinetic energy would be increasing.
  • Dry ice can also be very dangerous at times, if touched with bare hands/skin you can get hurt because the ice is so cold that it causes frostbite.
  • For dry ice to go from a solid to a liquid it would go through the melting process where you would have to go through a 24 hour process of keeping it in a container.
  • A liquid to a solid would would be freezing the process would also be exothermic.
  • A melted chocolate bar would be a good example because you would be returning the chocolate bar to its original state by freezing it.
  • This is an example of a gas to a liquid because the cold beverage has waterdroplets forming on the outside of the can this is condensation and it is also exothermic.
  • As she walks she would be moving because she is moving from one place to another.

  • Evaporation happens when a liquid turns into a gas (endothermic) an example would be while running you sweat and you sit down for a few moments and the sweat dries.

  • The transition from a gas to a liquid is also known as deposition.
  • Water vapor would transform into ice without it becoming a liquid, this is a process that often occurs on windows during the winter.
