“ I couldn't sleep, I was having nightmares about the car accident again. Why did my dad have to get drunk? Why did my mom let him drive home?”
“Man what are you doing up so late?”
Mally Blanceous he was an orphan. Mally lost his parents when he was 5 years old in a car accident. He had no family to take care of him, no one… that cared. He didn’t even have siblings to call his own nor could he call the air he took in his own because it left him eventually… just like everything else in his life.
After the accident, he’d been taken into an orphanage that was a dirty floor that had been stepped on by thousands of people a day and was built in downtown Englishland. He never liked the orphanage because they never gave him any attention. Despite that he did make friends with some of the kids there but his pal Pip Peter Paterson was his best friend. They were like two peas in a pod. They did everything together.
A loud boom of thunder woke Mally from his daydream. It was raining cats and dogs once again. He looked outside the window and watched the rain dance and run before hitting the pavement. He watched the kids across street play and laugh with their parents, they had something that he longed to have again. Pip pulled up a stool next to Mally. Pip saw the pain on Mally's face and that made him stay silent.
The next day Mally woke up and looked over at Pip sleeping. Just like he did everyday at the orphanage. Today was Thursday which meant that people were coming to adopt and Mally had to put on his best outfit and so did Pip. “Pip wake up it's Thursday!” Mally yelled has he shoved Pip so he could wake up. “Five more minutes” Pip mumbled sleepily.
“Five more minutes”
“Pip wake up it's Thursday!”
Since Pip didn’t wake up Mally pushed him on the floor and the floor squealed in pain and so did Pip. “Why did you do that!” Pip yelled. “You didn’t wake up and we have to get dressed. You can punch me later.” Mally said with a grin on his face as he helped Pip up.
“You didn’t wake up and we have to get dressed. You can punch me later.”
“Why did you do that!”
They both wore tuxedos. The also were wore badly beaten black colored Crocodile skin wingtip dress shoes. They dressed the same so that they would have a chance to get adopted together. Their goal was to look like twins.
