Storyboard Text

  • Growing from Infancy
  • Man, I am so happy that I matured since I was a baby! My behavior has grown so much.
  • Neural Networks
  • I'm 6 years old now so I'm growing a lot!
  • Pruning Process
  • Maturation: biological growth processes that enable orderly changes in behavior, mostly uninfluenced by behavior
  • "It's not imitation, it's maturation."
  • Ew, I would never copy anyone else, especially not Steven!
  • The frontal lobes develop in the womb, but experience great growth from ages 3-6 in the growing of neural networks and the production of neurons.
  • Cerebellum
  • Through the pruning process, the brain selects neural passages that over time.
  • Infantile Amnesia
  • It's so weird that I can't remember what happened to me when I was a baby!
  • As children grow, they mature in the same general sequence as others which may make it seem like imitation.
  • The cerebellum controls walking and grows rapidly around the age of 1 when babies begin to learn how to walk.
  • Inability to retrieve memories from before ages 2-4
