Here, June. Swallow just this one with a sip of water and you'll feel better in no time!
Oh, no! I don't think I should have taken these both at the same time. I should have slowed down, but the bus will be here any minute!
Come on, Karen! Take some drugs with me. It'll be fun and get rid of your stress!
Alright, I'll do it! Gimme the whole bottle.
Drug Use means to take drugs correctly and safely if you are sick or in pain. Drug Use means that you are using the medicine/drug correctly and you follow the directions on the label and you take the correct dosage for your weight/age.
Drug Misuse means to use the drug incorrectly or to make a mistake while taking it. For example, if you take a pill that strictly says to NOT take another medicine with it and you do, that may have a side effect of a headache or pain. There could be a bigger side effect such as vomiting or diarrhea, too. To avoid this, always read the warning and directions label before using the medicine. Another example could be if you measure your dosage with a spoon, not an attached measuring cup.
Drug Abuse is when a person takes illegal or addictive drugs that can harm them, and they continue to take it. It also means that the person took the drug incorrectly on purpose.
