Early nomads where hunter gatherers. They walked from cave to cave killing animals and gathering plants from the forest for food.They mostly took shelter in caves where cave painters left prehistoric paintings about their lives back then.
Over time, farmers learned which seeds produced the most crops in the areas that they lived in. People raised sheep, goat and cattle for their meet. Goats and cattle also provided milk.Mules helped carry heavy loads such as plows for farming.
With many if their basic needs now met, people had more time and energy for other activities. They could invent new ways of making their lives comfortable and much safer by building stronger houses out of stone and living by their main food source.
