  •  Exposition Journeys can be hard but in the end are rewarding
  • "Stanley was arrested later that day"(pg.7).
  •                    Rising Action
  • "His arms were too weak to lift his heavy body"(pg.40).
  •  Rising Action
  • "'Stanley how was your first hole?' Stanley groaned and the other boy's laughed"
  •  This shows how his journey,through life at Camp Green Lake, starts because he is arrested for something he didn't do.
  •                       Climax
  • "He stood lifting Zero's worn out body off the ground"(pg.170). 
  • This that as his journey as  goes on it gets harder because his body gets weaker as the journey gets harder.
  • Falling Action 
  • "Stanley found the onion the night before"(pg.177).
  • The journey is getting harder and harder as the journey goes on. Stanley thinks the first hoe was hard but should just wait and see.
  • Falling Action
  • "He pulled the suitcase up and out of the dirt"(pg.202).
  • The curse is broken and his journey starts to get better. 
  • Things are starting to look not so hopeless because they found food on the big thumb  
  • They are starting to get rewarded for working so hard.
