In the southern colonies, there were plantation houses with slaves that did work for the owner. Most of the places you would go to in the Southerm colonies had slavery.
Why did they do this to me!? *Sobs*
Almost every slave was sad that they had to work and weren't free. (Obviously)
Usually the plantation owners were angry when their slaves weren't working when they were supposed to.
Hey! Get back to work or I'll whip you!!
Slave houses were small, cramped houses where the slaves slept.
Oh well, at least I can get some rest.
Usually plantation owners lived close to rivers. This was good for two reasons. 1. They never taught slaves to swim so they couldn't escape.2. The owner would use a ship so they could sell crops easily.
Life was hard in the Southern colonies if you were a slave.
Slave! Cut down all of the wheat or you'll get whipped!!
