  • At first, the war is badly for the Continental Army. They lose a lot of battles.

  • The British Army are making a plan to end the war quickly. So, they bring large forces together in New York and they wanted to defeat the Americans by cutting off New England from the other colonies.

  • Both Army met up together in the summer of 1777 at the New York. The British soldiers are marching in straight lines while the Continental Army use ways that they learn from Indians is surprise attacks.
