  • The word choice that Edgar Allen Poe uses is complex he uses words like Foresight, Vexed, concealment and other complex words. These words help the reader to imagine what is going on.
  • T- Theme
  • The narrator describes the old man's eye with an image, saying, "He had the eye of a vulture—a pale blue eye, with a film over it." This image helps us begin to understand what it is that really terrifies the narrator.

  • The style is a creepy style. The words are truly told by an insane man.
  • The theme of "Tell-Tale Heart"  is guilt. The man feels guilty for killing the man and hiding him under the floorboards.
