Storyboard Text

  • Photosynthesis is the process where a plant uses light energy to produce glucose. If plants couldnt do this process, living things would not be alive without the oxygen from photosynthesis.
  • Photosynthesis absorbs light, CO2, and H2O to produce glucose and O2.
  • CO2
  • Glucose (C6H12O6)
  • The light dependent reactions have to use light to produce ATP and NADPH. This occurs in the thykaloid membrane of the chloroplast.
  • Photosynthesis occurrs in the chloroplast of the cell. The two sages of photosynthesis are the light-dependent reactions and the light-independent reactions.
  • Light-independent reactions occur without light and they use the ATP from before to synthesise glucose. This occurs in the stroma of the chloroplast.
