  • French & Indian War
  • Acts (Laws)
  • Groups (Sons,Daughters of Liberty etc.)
  • This was a war between Great Britain and France. It took place in 1754-1763 and concluded with the British winning. It took place in what is now North America because the French were slowly making their way down and the British were protecting the colonies.
  • Protests
  • In return for Britain protecting the colonies, they expected the colonies to repay them (in money). This started in 1765 and made the colonists angry.
  • Beginning of The American Revolution
  • The daughters of liberty helped by strengthening boycotts while the Sons of Liberty did more violent acts. There was also the First Continental Congress. These groups all formed in retaliation of the British acts.
  • THE REVOLUTION
  • People were protesting the acts that Britain had passed by joining groups like Sons/Daughters of Liberty because by now most people realized how unfair these acts really were.
  • By now the protests have gotten stronger, more rebellious, and deadlier. With the Boston Massacre on March 5th 1770 these acts by the colonists had gotten more and more violent towards the British.
  • Finally it ended with a war between the colonies and Great Britain. The colonists won the battle and ended up with Britain loosing control of the colonies starting on July 4th 1776.
