The Sumerians used the complex irrigation system to make sure the farmers had enough water to make crops for everyone and the first plow changed agriculture by making it eaiser to farm.
There were levels in power the highest were Kings, Nobles and goverment officals the middle level were merchants artisans and farmers The lowest level are slaves.
The King was the rulers and scribes were important because scribes wrote laws and writing was very hard back then.
When they did not use the wheel for transportation they used it as a surface but then they figured out a better use of it which is transportation. Before wheel they used a thing called sledges. They had to drag it and it usually got stuck

Cuneiform is a language of Sumerians. They used a wedge shaped stylus into a clay tablet. Pictographs are symbols that stood for real objects like fish or grass. Scribes used sharpened reed to write on wet clay then when it dry's it there forever.
