I sure hope he does! They are our homemade cookies!
I'm asking for our puppy to come back!
I'm asking for a new race car!
I'm asking for a toy dinosaur!
It had been three years since the Woods family had lost their puppy. She ran away on Christmas Eve, so the family said a prayer on that night each year. They were never able to name their puppy because she ran away the day they got her. Leah, being the youngest of the family, had the most hope, that someday, their puppy would return.
The three kids, Leah, Jack, and Michael gathered in the dining room to set out Santa's cookies. They couldn't wait for the exciting day that awaited them. They hoped Santa would love their homemade cookies.
The boys always ask Santa for something new each year, but Leah's wish remains the same as every other Christmas. She wishes for her long lost puppy to return to her. This year, she feels different, almost like shes sure she'll come back.
I knew you'd come back! We've missed you so much!
The children went to sleep. They had many dreams about their Christmas wishes coming true. Racing cars speeding around the house, dinosaurs wrecking the living room, and a young girl and her puppy reuniting. Leah loved her dream and could only wish that it would come true the next day.
Leah excitedly ran into the dining room where her family was waiting. Her wonderful dream had caused her to sleep in. She was disappointed when she didn't see her puppy, her light brown fur, and her smile like she had seen in her dream. Every last drop of hope drained out of Leah, and she realized that this Christmas would be no different than the last three.
Suddenly, Leah and her family heard a scratch at the door. They all ran to the door, hope building up inside of them. Leah flung the door open and saw her long lost puppy. Leah realized that her dream really did come true, and she was so excited about it.
