  • Why am I always so tired?
  • I'm..zzz... Coming!
  • Come downstairs, you need to prepare for school!
  • School this year wasn't for me at the beginning. Sleep had always felt limited but, not like this. Here's the story of my sleep schedule.
  • Why do you always come home looking so tired?
  • I...I don't know. This new school is so draining.
  • A while ago, I was still adjusting to the school work that was given to me. I spent several nights staying up until 1am doing these assignments. I wasn't sure if I was procrastinating too much or maybe I'm not doing these assignments fast enough.
  • I usually make a schedule for all the tasks I need to complete. Try not to stay up late too.
  • Every school day, I barely wake up with any energy at all. I guess only 6 hours of sleep is really getting to me. I always feel bad having to force my mom to wake me up all the time.
  • zzZZzzz..
  • After school, I would try to come home early and rush upstairs to take a quick nap, but soon, my mom noticed that I wasn't sleeping very well. I didn't want to tell the truth, but the school stress was driving me insane. 
  • After getting to know some of the people at my school, I asked them if they had some advice for me about staying up late. My history teacher gave me a few tips on how to deal with stress.
  • Ever since I made my own planner and practiced sleeping early, I've been able to finish my homework and get enough sleep for the next day. It's been a while since I've been able to sleep soundly without the thought of homework being too close to the deadline.
