Storyboard Text

  • Hey Jack! What's wrong?
  • I don't understand what we learned today in chemistry.
  • I can help you! Chemical changes occur when a substance combines with another to form a new substance, you can only observe it during an chemical reaction happens.
  • That makes so much sense! Can you give me an example.
  • Sure! This building is a chemical change because it did not change it's shape. It is just rusty which you can change.
  • Oh okay! What about physical changes?
  • Well, with physical changes they are used to separate mixtures into their component compounds, but the most important is that you aren't creating a new substance.
  • That's really interesting! Can you give me an example of that one too?
  • Of course! This pool is an example of physical change because if it gets too cold the water will freeze.
  • I never knew that, that was really cool!
  • Anytime Jack! I'm glad I could help you!
  • Thanks Sarah! I understand the chemistry now!
