  • Chernobyl gave off more radiation than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. The radioactive material from the blast spread out all across Europe and ruined farmland. The total cost of the disaster was in the hundreds of billions. 
  • Ahhah oh my lord how could this happen
  • During the Soviet era the Soviet Union invaded Ukraine and took over 2/3 of the country. Ukraine was no longer a independent nation and became a part of the Soviet Union. The Ukraine became a passage way for the Soviets to Asia.
  • Your being invaded

  • In 2014 Ukrainian military forces started fighting against Russian rebels. The crisis injured 22,100 and in 2016 it killed 9,500 people. Most of the casualties where Ukrainian soldiers and civilians.

  • After the Soviet Union disappeared the west wanted Ukraine to join NATO. Russia did not want Ukraine to join NATO so they invaded eastern Ukraine. This invasion affected 4.4 million Ukrainians. Many had little food, medicine, or water.
  • Why
  • Your not joining NATO
  • The famine of 1932-1933 in the Ukraine was caused by the policies placed by Stalin. The famine killed 4-5 million Ukrainians. This was an attack on the Ukrainian peasants and if a peasant would be killed they held food.
  • There is not crop left 
  • How are we supposed to feed the kids
  • The overall effect of the Cold War on the people and country of Ukraine was bad. The conflict was a rough and very grueling time for the Ukriane and its people.
