I was at Silverbrook Camp. Earlier I had done things from bug catching to archery, tie dyeing to wall climbing. Now, was I getting a good rest? Was I having a nice snack and settling down? No. I was in the heat of battle, multi - colored walls all around me.
I've got to get out of here! This laser tag is intense!
At first, I did pretty well. My neighbor and friend has a laser tag set, and we often play it. So at first, I was number one. You just need to shoot a little red box on one side of another person's gun and shoot it ten times. Then they go to a home base, their gun beeping to indicate their defeat. Later in the game, people started to get the hang of it, and shot me a ton of times.
I hid behind a wall and stayed for a quarter of the game. I just wanted to give up. Everyone just shot me from places I didn't know existed. I stunk!
All the sudden, on the other side of the wall, a kid was shooting at something else. This was my chance! I could sneak up on him!
Forget quitting! I jumped out and... Pew! Pew! Pew! I rejoiced as the noises from my gun blared. I smiled as his started beeping. "Hey!" I called out as he headed to the home base "Good Job!". He smirked.
That day I learned to not give up when things get hard, and always be a good sport. What a day!
