Telemachus reaches Pylos which is the home of old king Nestor. When he docks off the boat he recieves a warm welcome from Pylos and his son's they gather around and whipped up a feast in which they sacrificed a lot of bulls.
They gather around a banquet table and Pylos started talking to T. about " who are you", and "why did you dock off my homeland".

Nestor warns T. to be wary of Aegisthus he advises T. to go visit Menelaus. He insisted T. to stay a night and leave until morning, Nestor provided gifts, a carriage to get to Sparta, and Pisistratus as a companion.
T. visits Menelaus and Helene with Nestor's son Pisistratus they are welcomed warmly.
T. asks M. what have happen at Troy. M. tells the story of the long journey back from Troy, M. expresses such grief of telling who died and were lost. T. starts crying for his father O. in which everyone weeps hearing O. absences. Helene made a drink to wash away the grief and sorrow.
Helene tells the story of the Trojan War how O. was the spy master and how dedicated O. In meanwhile the suitors found out that T. took off to the journey to find if his father still lives. The suitors plan a ambush for T. well the mother Penelope is filled with grief.
