  • photosynthesis is the process that converts sunlight to chemical energy, 6CO2.6H2O. light, energy-C6H1206.602 and then stores it in sugar (glucose) carbon dioxide and water
  • Photosynthesis takes place in the Chloroplast inside the plant cells
  • Carbon dioxide entersand water exits through tiny pores called stomata
  • Cells called Gaurd Cells close the stomata at night to keep the plant from loosing to muchwater
  • Xylem transports all the water of the plant to the leaves. Without Xylem the leaves woulddry
  • Phloem carries the products ofphotosynthesis (glucose)
