  • proclamation of 1763- The Proclamation of 1763 was issued by King George III in 1763, following Great Britain's claimment of French territory in North America after the end of the Seven Years' War. It forbid all colonists from settling west of a line drawn along the Appalachian Mountains
  • we need to protest
  • sugar and stamp act- they were made to raise money for the British. The Sugar Act was designed to regulate buying and trade especially in the New England region.
  • no taxation without representation- the protest of colonists at being taxed by the British to which they elected no representations and became an anti-British saying before the American Revolution
  • get rid of the tea!
  • townshend act/reaction- a series of taxes and laws imposed upon the colonists, this taxed glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea.
  • boston massacre- British soldiers shot and killed several people while being attacked by protesters in a mob in Boston
  • boston tea party- a protest act against the taxes lead by the sons of liberty. they hijacked a cargo of tea and dumpt it overboard
