Act 2 Scene 2
"O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?" (II.II.36)
"Shall I hear more or shall I speak at this?"(II.II.40)
Outside of Juliet's window after party
Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow..."(II.II.151)
"Th' exchange of thy love's faithful vow for mine."(II.II.134)
Romeo asks Juliet if she wants to marry him
"To cease thy strife and leave me to my grief. Tomorrow I will send. (II.II.161-162)
"So thrive my soul-" (II.II.163)
The idea of love appearing naturally amoung two people is very random and cared for. This forms the motif of rebellion in the story.
This scene relates to the motif because Romeo asking Juliet to marry him goes against both of their identities being Montagues and Capulets.
In the scene both of them fight against their identities for what they love and what they want.
