This scene is when Ponyboy falls asleep in the vacant lot. Ponyboy is freaked out because Darry is going to be upset at Ponyboy for staying out really late. Ponyboy then runs home as fast as he could.
In this scene Ponyboy comes home late and Darry gets mad and slaps Ponyboy in the face. Then Ponyboy decides to run away and go get Johnny.
In this scene Johnny kills Bob through self-defense. Johnny did this to protect Ponyboy. They run to go see Dally for Help.

In this scene Ponyboy and Johnny go to save the kids from the burning church but then a piece of timber fell on Johnny, then Dally goes to get him. Then all three of them were transported to the hospital.
In this scene Johnny is dying and tells Ponyboy to stay gold. This got to Dally and which later Dally dies. Johnny's death helps with the court case because they see that Ponyboy has been through a lot.

My favorite part in the book was finding out that Ponyboy wrote the book for his theme assignment for his english class. This is my favorite part because it shows the up's and downs of Ponyboy's life and how he has feelings and he has a passion for those feelings.
