The Land of the Dead
King Aeolus attempts to aide Odysseus in his journey back home, this fails and the King believes now that the trip is cursed. After being said to have a cursed voyage by the king of Aeolus, Odysseus's fleet briefly stops in the land of Laestrygones where cannibals hurled boulders at their ships, leaving only Odysseus and his 45 men alive.
Sirens, Scylla, Charybdis

When Odysseus and his men first landed on Circes Island Aeaea, Circe turns his men into pigs. Hermes helps Odysseus and after a while, his men are human again. She then tells Odysseus and warns him of the dangerous journey he will face going back home to Ithaca.
When Odysseus entered the land of the dead he gave a blood sacrifice so that he could talk to the spirits.After seeing the ghost of his mother and his deceased crew member he vows to sacrifice his most handsome oxen in their honor. Odysseus speaks to his mother about his families grievances.

Odysseys and his men encounter Sirens, deadly yet falsely beautiful creatures who lure sailors by their entrancing song, only later to kill them. Once he passes the island he then has to choose between going through Scylla and Charybdis, Scylla is a monster and Charybdis is a whirlwind that could swallow ships. He is instructed by Circe to stay close to Scylla's lair.
Odysseus and his men land on the Island of Thrinacia. Odysseus tells his men not to eat Helios' cattle but they don't listen. Helios is angered and to punish them Zeus sends down a lightning bolt and sinks the ship.
That's payback for eating my cattle.
After the boat sinking Odysseus is the only one to survive. He eventually drifts onto Ogygia, the home of Calypso.She keeps him on her island for 7 years before letting him leave.
