December 1st, 1955, in Montogomery Alabama Rosa Parks waits for the bus.
I can't wait to get home, it's been a long day at work
wow the bus is getting busy, maybe if they didn't segregate the seats no one would have to stand
Mam, you have to give up your seat for the whites, if you don't I'll call the police
Rosa Parks, you are arrested for civil disobedience
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Meeting
We should boycott the busses in retaliation
Rosa got arrested, this is outrageous!
After a nation wide 381 day boycott, Rosa's lawyer filed an appeal and with the support of civil rights activists like Martin L. King and the support of the community, a panel of 3 judges came to a decision in Rosa's favor on June 4, 1956.
Judges Frank M. and Johnson, Jr, as well as the supreme court have ruled that racial segregation of public buses is unconstitutional
