Storyboard Text

  • A law starts out as just an idea, until someone contacts the representative for their state. 
  • The representative send the the idea to Congress, where it becomes a bill. It goes to committe where they decide whether or not to pass the bill.
  • From there, the bill goes to the House of Representatives, and if they vote in favor of the bill, it goes to the Senate
  • In Capitol Hill, people vote on the bill, and if the majority is in favor, It goes to the President, or the Executive Branch
  • The President can approve the bill, or Veto it. A veto will send it back to the committee. 
  • If the President approves the bill, it will become a law.
