Storyboard Text

  • How I don't know anything.
  • Your job is to help the council make decisions.
  • Our old receiver will explain everything.
  • It  says my rules are to go straight to the annex after school, after training go straight home, exempt from all rules of rudeness and can ask anyone any question and get an answer, do not discuss training with anyone, no dream telling, no medication for training, cannot apply for release, and I may lie.
  • The council gives me more for the extra and amount of honor I have and I need the books for memories and such.
  • You house is different than everyone else's.
  • Jonas's assignment is as the receiver of memories. His purpose is to help aid in decisions of the community based on past events.
  • Now lie down with your back up and close your eyes.
  • I'll try I just don't see the point.
  • Jonas's rules are Go straight to the annex after school, After training go straight home, Exempt from all rules of rudeness and can ask anyone any question and get an answer, Do not discuss training with anyone, No dream telling, No medication for training, Cannot apply for release, and You may lie.
  • They could make bad choices that could cause chaos fires everywhere murders.
  • Why doesn't everyone make their own choices.
  • Three differences The Giver's house has the that others don't are books. He also has better furnishings and finally locks on his doors.
  • You are seeing color for the first time.
  • The books their changing I can't explain it they just changes.
  • The Giver gave Jonas a few memories such as Snow, Sledding, and Hills. The Giver also gave him sunshine and sun burns on the same day.
  • The community is not allowed to make decisions because they could make the wrong choices. The community could cause chaos if everyone could just do what they wanted there would be no order.
  • Jonas experiences something called seeing beyond. Seeing beyond is just the ability to see color in the beginning it is just red but he slowly can see more and more colors.
