OMG! I don´t want to go to science class today, it´s always so boring.
I know right.
Good morning guys, today we will learn about chemical and physical properties.
Great another boring class.
Why didn´t I just stay home.
Let´s see if this day is any better that the others days.
Coming to school really paid off.
Don´t worry, I´m Doctor William and I specialize in extensive and intensive properties.
Is there anything that can help us remember extensive properties?
What is the different between extensive and intensive properties?
Extensive have to do with the size of a sample. While intensive doesn´t.
Okay, now that you explained that can you explain the difference between mixtures, elements, compounds?
There is this abbreviation MVL MEN, which stands for mass, volume, length, moles, energy, and number of atoms are all the extensive properties.
Okay, mixtures are is a combination of other substances that are not in a fixed ratio, and the material can be physically separated. Compounds are simpler substances combined in a defined ratio. And elements cannot be chemically separated into simpler substances.
You said you were a super hero, so what is you power?
Okay guys any other questions for Doctor William?
My power is to have the ability to change the states of matters in seconds, as compared to having to wait for them to happen.
States of matter is one of the distinct forms in which matter can exists, and there is thee forms of matter solid liquid or gas.
What are the states of matter, and how many is there?
