Prospero is crowned the Duke of Milan. He also has magic powers and a wife of virtue. The people of Milan adore Prospero very much and he is treated with much respect.
While being crowned the Duke of Milan, he was heavily focused on his studies of the liberal arts. Due to the lack of attention Prospero was giving to Milan, he decided to ask his trustful brother Antonio to help him govern Milan while he decides to focus on his interests.
Antonio began to really enjoy governing Milan. He started loving the feeling of power and eventually, he realized he was not going to do all the work and let his brother get the credit.
Antonio really wants to gain more power so he takes all the men who were once loyal to Prospero to the position of the duke, and changed all of them so they would be loyal to himself instead. He decides to give the Kid of Naples, who is Prospero's enemy some moeny in exchnage for his help to overthrow Prospero.
The day has finally come when Antonio takes over the rule of Milan from Prospero. Antonio betrays Prospero and tells gaurds/army to push Miranda and Prospero out of power.
Antonio puts them on a small boat and sends them off leaving them with very harch conditions on the boat. A man name Gonzalo helps Miranda and Prospero reach the island. He even gives them rich garments, linens, and most importantly he gives them books!
