So in the first scene, Ishmael is on an airplane on his way to New York, where the meeting is held at. The second slide is Ishmael getting out the car to enter the building where the meeting is. In the third slide they are at the place the meeting is at and waiting to go to the meeting. In the fourth slide Ishmael is in the meeting telling them of the absolutely horrible things that happened during his childhood. In the fifth slide, all the kids from different countries went to Laura's huge house. In the last slide it was Ishmael in Laura's home, looking at how big her house was.
I selected this scene because I thought this was when Ishmael was sane again, and I thought that was good for him. I also picked this scene because he has never been out of Africa, and there was so many new things for him to learn about, and he met his future adopted mother.
The importance of the scene was they were in a good place then they would return to a messed up place, but they got a break from it. On page 238 he said "We were all sad to leave each other, as we had learned we were not returning to peaceful places" This text shows they got a break from the misery they have to go through everyday.
I'm very nervous...
About to go to the Meeting...
