  • An Element is a material made of only one kind of atom is called a element some elements you may know about are iron in nails helium in balloons iodine in medicines.
  • A compound is a pure substance composed of two or more different elements that that are chemically. The particles in a compound are always molecules not atoms particles with more than one atom are molecules
  • A Molecule is a group of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds. C2 = element and a molecule  because it has two carbon atoms  CH4= compound and a molecule becuase it has 1 carbon atom and 4 hydrogen atoms
