  • When Alexander was young he studied from Aristotle " a Greek philosopher"  and he learned public speaking, science and philosophy.
  • Alexander the great was king of Macedonian from 336 BC to 323 BC.
  • When Alexander the great was king he conquered parts of Asia, parts of Egypt and parts of Greece.
  • Alexander the great had a plan to bring people of very different cultures together under a single government. First he would spread Greek culture and ideas, Second he would use religion to inspire loyalty, Third he would show some respect for the cultures he conquered and even adopt some of their customs.
  • Alexander the great died around 324 BC because he caught a swamp fever maybe it was malaria. He died in a solders tent at the age of 33.
  • When Alexander the great died his empire crumbled. Settlers left the cities he had constructed, and they fell into ruin. His generals fought each other for control of the empire, after the fight the empire was divided into three kingdoms. Egypt was a kingdom, Asia became a kingdom and Macedonia and Greece made the third kingdom.
