Indian removal act
Im going to take all the money from the bank!
"Did Andrew Jackson promote Democracy in the United States"
Jackson and other settlers pressured congress to pass the "Indian Removal Act of 1830" Congress established land and many were pressured to sign treaties. Jackson forced 15,00 Cherokees to the Indian Territory 4,000 died in the "trail of tears" in 1838
Jackson thought the bank was unconstitutional and a symbol of government and northern financial interests. Clay renewed it thinking if Jackson vetoed it, it would hurt him but it actually helped him. when they did that Jackson removed money from the bank making that lead to the death of the national bank in 1836
He expanded the voting bas and made it possible for men to note but did many things that were unacceptable. "The Trail of Tears" where he forced people to leave their homes and start over again in a strange land is not right.
