Oedious is born to the king and queen of Thebes, Laus and Jacosta. Laus is superstitious and goes to see a prophet who tells him his son will kill him and marry his wife.
King Laus and Queen Jacosta leave Oedipus to die in the forest. But he is soon found and given to the king and queen of Corinth who raise him till he is a teenager.
Teenage oedipus goes to a prophet and is told the same prophecy King Laus was told. He would marry his mother and kill his father. Oedipus runs away to escape this date, unknowingly running towards his destiny instead.
Oedious encounters a man on the road who he then kills. He then moves on and finds a Sphinx who gives him a riddle he must solve to pass. Oedipus solves it easily, angering the Sphinx so that she kills herself.
The city of Thebes is so proud of Oedipus for killing the Sphinx that they made him their hero and and gifted him Queen Jacosta to marry. They then have four kids together, two boys and two girls. Their names were Antigone, Ismene, Polynices, and Eteocles.
Oedipus goes to see Creon, the queens brother and he says that they must rid the city of the kings murderer and bury him outside the city. Oedipus says he will kill the kings muderer. But he soon learns his true identity and realizes he killed the king and married his mother, fulfilling his prophecy.
