  • Ok father. But I don't know how well my bumb leg will keep up.
  • Jerry, I want you to start to train stormy on how to lead today. I will bring you out  to the barn to get him, but you have to lead.
  •  Once we got Stormy out side, I was on my own. Nearly everyday, two things happens. First, Stormy refused to take one step. He stood like a black and white statue with what i came to believe was a smile on his face...The second thing Stormy would do, every  single day but with-out warning, was take on running...(83)
  • Yelling "stop" made no difference - indeed I believe it encourage him. (83)
  • STOP STOP STOP
  • "I'm not doing this anymore. My leg hurts, my arms are scraped and scratched, my hands are burned from the rope-and besides Stormy Doesn't want to learn how to lead!"
  • "So your giving up?" - Your're sure."
  • "I am. It's no use. He'll never learn." - "I'm sure."
