Halt, Peasant! It is I, the knight Francis the Valliant! What business do you have in my way? I am on a very important business trip!
My one-of-a-kind pot! There's no way I could get another!
Knight on his way to the Manor House
O please, good knight, won't you help me?
Welp, good luck with that then. I have no time to deal with you peasants.
No, I havn't the time or skill! I'm just a simple farmer!
Can't you just make another?
In a small town at the edge of the Midevial World, the knight Francis the Valliant is walking through the town on his way to his lord's house on his request.
Knight arriving at the Manor House to see his lord
What a silly old man!
However, he has an unexpected run-in with one of the old townspeople.
Knight walking up the stairs to his lord's throne room
Could it possibly be because of the war with the next kingdom? Maybe they want me stationed in the fields instead of the town?
Despite his desperate pleas for help, the old man is brushed off by Francis. The Fugal System definatly dosen't call for knights to be fair to their underlings.
The knight learns some interesting news
So, my lord, why is it you called me in today?
Actaully, I was wondering if you could help with a privait case. An old man reported for aid today.
In this town, the peasants must obey and respect the knights with uttermsot certanity. The only people above them are the nobles, church officials, and the king. So, knights are renown and obeyed by most of the population.
To think that I, Francis the Valliant, would chose to go out of my way to help a measly peasant is simply absurd!
I am only loyal to the master and his wife. I wonder why they are calling me in today.
Knights have a duty to their lords to serve them in the millitary, enforce the law in their lands, and collect taxes. They need to report to their lords whenever they are called.
Oh no! Maybe I forgot to pay my taxes this month...
Francis must obey whatever his lord tells him to do, and in return, he is granted protection and land. Unfortunatly however, sometimes the tasks that they are set out to do are not quite pleasant.
