I was angry with my friend
i cried at nights because of what happened
but then one day I bore an apple
in the first stanza he us upset with his friend and we don't know why
then one day my friend saw the apple and knew it was mine so he ate it
In the second stanza he talks about how he has weaped for what his friend has done to him
in the morning I awoke to find him outstretched beneath the tree.
In the third stanza he talks about how his tree has bore a apple that he eat by himself
In the fourth stanza his friend sneaks into his yard and eats his apple
In the 5th stanza he wakes up to find his friend dead in his backyard
