  • Newton's first law. Inertia An object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by another force, and an object at rest stays at rest unless a force acts upon it.
  • This represents inertia because the ball will stay in motion unless acted upon by another force.
  •            Newton's second law.  Force equals mass times acceleration.
  • The force that is applied to the chair makes it accelerate. The more mass there is the more force you will need to make it accelerate.
  • When the dog pushes off the ground, the ground is pushing on the dog. That is how the dog is able to walk.
  • Newton's third law. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
