This graphic novel features a student teaching another about waves.
In fact, yes. I happen to know about waves.
Do you know anything about waves?
A wave is a disturbance that transfers energy.
The highest point of a wave is called a crest. The lowest point is a trough. This is a transverse wave, which means it moves perpendicular to the direction it travels.
Longitudinal waves, however vibrate parallel to their motion. Water waves are longitudinal and transverse waves.
Mechanical waves, such as sound, require a medium, whereas electromagnetic waves, like light, does not.
