  • Define Setting: The  time and place of a storyTell Tale Hearts Setting: the old mans house at midnight. On page 626 it shows how the man watched the old man sleep at midnight.

  • Point of view is the view of who is telling the story   The Point of View in the story is from the murderer   Throughout the story the word "I" is used when           referring to the murderer. On page 625, we can see     the thought process of the killer.
  • Symbolism
  • Conflict is the problem of the storyThe conflict of the story is when the killers conscious speaks out to himOn page 629, the mans conscious tells him to confess to the murder
  • Suspense
  • Theme is what the story tries to tell youThe theme of the story is that the mind is dangerous and isn't always there to help. 
  • Symbolism is when an object is meant to represent something else. Symbolism in the story is where the mans eye represents a vultures. On page 625, the killer says the eye is like a vultures.
  • Suspense is when action is built up in the story. suspense in tell tale heart is when we hear the mans heart thump after he died. On page 630, when the police officers are right next to the body, we still heart the heart beating.
