  • The kings of Akkad were skilled generaly. Sargon the king of Akkad build the very first empire. He taught his soldiers how to fight. He destroyed walls of many city-state, leaving them completely defenseless.
  • Neo-babylonian Empire
  • The babylonian Empire is a small city-state in central Mesopotamia. Babylonia became capital.They traded grain and woven cloth for wood, gold, silver, precious gems, and livestock. Also slaves could work elsewhere and keep their wages.
  • Hammurabi
  • The Assyrian is north of the Babylonian Empire . They were often ruthless. Their greates achivments were new weapons and war strategies.They developed new types of battaling rams. And they built moveable towers that were rolled up to a city's wall.

  • After the fall on Nineveh, the Babylonians once again took control of Measopotamia. The empires famous kind was Nebuchadnezzar. He expanded his empire, drove Egyptions out of Syria and conquered part of Canaan. Babylonians were skilled in mathematics and astronomy. The Neo-Babyloniam Empire lasted only 75 years..
  • Hammurabi was the king of the Babylonian Empire. He ruled the Babylonian empire. He was known best for his code of laws. He wrote during his region from 1792-1750 B.C.E. He declared the Babylonian Empire a god, Marduk, and the supreme over other god. Hammurabi's code was a notable achievement.

  • Hammurabi's code is a set of laws. The writings were recorded on a eight foot stone tablet called stele. It was created in 1750 B.C and lasted till 1686 B.C. Hammurabi's code was created to encourage people to accept the king's authority. Also to govern his kingdom and unify various groups. Whoever did not fallow the laws had a very intense punishment. Hammurabi code had 300 laws.
