  •
  • The Astrologer's Prediction
  • The Luxurious Life
  •  Queen Maya kept having dreams about an Elephant coming towards her and she would wake up so she tolled her husband about the dream.
  • The 4 Encounters
  • *cough*
  • When the king tolled his astrologer about the dream the answer that he got was, " Your son is going to have 2 paths to choose for his life. 1. He can become the greatest king. 2. He can still be great but he will teach people." The king didn't like this because he wanted his son to be the greatnes he locked him in the palace and his son never saw sickness, oldness, or death any where.
  • Becoming a Ascetic
  • So then Siddhartha had the best time in the palace. He got married had a child, servants there for him, everything. Except he didn't have happiness. So then he begged is father for him to go out in the town and see everyone so that's what he did.
  • Enlightened
  • When he is out there in the town he sees 4 things that shocked him. 1. A man that was old. 2. A man that was sick 3. A man that was dead. And 4 he sees an ascetic in the forest. Siddhartha feels sad that he is going to be old, sick and die one day and he wants to do something about it.
  • And so Siddhartha realised that the only way for him to be in peace is to achieve moshka. And so he goes to the forest and starts meditating with other people. He sacrifices everything that he has palace, family, and his richness. But he still doesn't feel happy.
  • After 6 years of meditating a women comes and serves him some rice, and then he notices that the only way is to have balance between extremes. So he started meditating under the Bod hi tree and he resisted temptations and became Enlightened.
