Well, they might of 3D printed it! There is a lot of things you need to know to 3D print something! For example, infill. An infill is the area that fills in the inside of the perimeter which is usually partially hollow.
Oh ok, want to sit down and you can explain it to me?
Sure! So, the perimeter is the outside edge of a printed layer, but it also could be a hole.
Now, the support material is not necessarily part of the object but is needed so the won't collapse!
Also, the raft is a bed of printed material under the object and a shell is an outer wall of the printed object!
